Olivier Suply is now the fifth generation of winegrowers on this estate and has been running the family business for 15 years.
Our vineyard is classified as a 'Premier Cru'. It spreads over the classified 'cru' land of Vrigny, Coulommes la Montagne, Cernay les Reims and of Crugny.
Our oldest vines were planted in 1956.
They require particular care so that they can give their best - horses graze the weeds and we use natural fertiliser.
This precious harvest from our old vines is reserved to our Cuvée Vieilles Vignes - as rare as it is exceptional!
As a Propriétaire-Récoltant - a status defining that we grow and harvest ourselves - we work our vineyards in an environmentally responsible way.
Three grape varieties are found in our champagnes: Pinot Meunier, Pinot noir and Chardonnay.
Each has its own particularities and aromas, which we know how to bring out when blending them.
Olivier Suply is very attached to his land and really is aware of the impact of winegrowing on the environment.
We grow our vines in an environmentally responsible and sensible way.
As we wished for some recognition of our efforts towards the environment on our estate, we initiated a High Environmental Quality certification (HVE).
We tend to our estate with the help of horses on some parts.
Far from folklore, we chose to work with horses after much reflection. We proudly use this technique which steers the whole family toward a permanent search for quality.
Initiated by Olivier Suply in 2010 on our old vines, working the land with horses is a beneficial alternative to chemical weed killers.
